I recently picked up a hobby (I am always picking one up), which is climbing. I signed up for the training and went with a new friend. Off I went, strapped and ready to climb! I admit, going up was the easiest part because she would tell me where to put my feet and let me know how close I am to the finish line. i finally finished and had to come down but there was a catch: I had to let go of the stones and she will be the one to pull me down.

Honestly, I had a really hard time letting go due to the fact that a number of things were running through my head, like can I trust her? What if I fall and die? Seriously! It was her voice encouraging and cheering me saying, “You can do it! I have got you! That helped me on my way down and when it was her turn, I did the same thing for her.

This reminded me of how life is, one season you have got all you prayed and asked for,you are enjoying and going higher in every aspect of your life and you have amazing friends and the next season, it seems all you have is gone. Who do you turn to for encouragement when you need it most?

I have been in that season or I am presently in the latter season and I am so grateful for the friends I have been blessed with. There were times I wanted to give up and throw in the towel but I had friends who encouraged me to not beat myself up.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 Two are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.

I am so grateful that I have got amazing friends that laughed with me when things were going well and cried with me when I was at my worst. Time and space would not permit me to write every single one of their names but I am sure they will read this message and I truly love you guys and the church I have been placed in. You are the best!

I encourage you to message whoever has been a source of encouragement to you when you felt down and tell them you are grateful to call them your friend.
